i have been looking for you

for the space you’ve been holding

while i was ‘away’

it’s been five years

since i’ve considered partaking

in what we’ve named

the social media

i told myself i couldn’t sell out

when a beautiful post

of a gorgeous woman

feeding her newborn offended

there she was, photographed

baring her soul

nourishing her child

shaping our future

she shown too brightly

too much power in her grace

the media had to erase

It was their empire after all

and now that moments owned

a precious gift you gave away

the trail you laid torn

a place you can no longer build

so i said and i thought

that i would wait

i would know when

the path would be shown

i considered myself a medium

a channel that opens

doors that shine light

energies that align

harmony and sunshine

that is what i would feel

and the words would flow

and the space would show

and now i have found my

myself, my medium
