Circle Reya is a local nonprofit dedicated to reviving and promoting the sovereign & autonomous birthing practices of the Hawaiian people.

​

The movement of sovereignty encompasses the concept of independence and self-governance, where a sovereign entity (a birthing woman) has the ultimate power to make decisions and control its own affairs (the terms in which she births under) without external interference (authoritative influences, mandates, laws, etc.). 

​

Personal autonomy emphasizes the importance of individuals (the birthing woman) having control over their own lives, choices, and bodies, particularly in areas such as health care, reproductive rights, and personal decision-making.

​

There are locations on this planet where it is considered a crime to birth anywhere but in a control medical facility, one where fathers can be arrested for ‘breaking & entering’ when attempting to be with their birthing partner.

This is not humanistic, this is something else that must be shifted and we can, one gentle birth, at a time, is more powerful than one million violent, the tides will turn and the 100th monkey will apply as the birthing rate is being effected. 

Founded in 2020, during a time of true need for community togetherness and open communication. Circle Reya created a sounding board for pregnant, birthing, newborn & parenting support.

Circle Reya became a birthing community where couples knew their birthing wishes would be supported. Wherever your baby was to be born would be filled with confidence, knowingness and most of all love.

​

In 2022, Circle Reya was awarded 501(c)(3) non-profit status on the federal level, a milestone that has significantly expanded our ability to support our families.
